Festival Website Design

Designed through Squarespace

Organization: Palau
Role: Web Designer

In preparation for Palau’s upcoming festival in 2026, I designed a website that captures the energy and cultural significance of the event while maintaining consistency with the organization’s broader brand identity. The goal was to create a modern, user-friendly experience that could effectively communicate festival details and engage audiences both locally and internationally.

I was provided with a few key assets, a color palette, the official festival logo, and direction to incorporate a fun squiggle pattern and a red checkmark pattern referencing the Croatian flag. From there, I was given creative freedom to design and develop the visual direction of the site.

DESIGN DIRECTION

To bring the concept to life, I created custom graphics and textures inspired by the checkmark motif, integrating them into headers, dividers, and backgrounds within a structured layout that balanced clarity with the event’s energy through bold color and movement.

Throughout the project, I collaborated closely with the Palau UK team to refine messaging, update page hierarchy, and incorporate final content edits. The collaboration ensured that the design effectively represented the organization’s mission and met the needs of their international audience.

Result

The final website design delivered an engaging and cohesive platform for festival promotion and communication. It combines visual identity, usability, and brand storytelling, setting the stage for Palau’s upcoming outreach event.
